We are looking for professionals in various roles:

• System Software Engineers: positions open in our Product Division, both at junior levels (zero experience) and more senior levels (3+ years). Role involves software development and maintenance for our products. Knowledge of C is essential, OS and networking knowledge desirable.

• Application Engineers: positions are open in our Software Services Division, both at junior levels (zero years experience and above) and senior levels (3+ years). Role involves business application development in Java with browser front-ends and database back-ends. Knowledge of AJAX, advanced Javascript, CSS, browser-independent programming, database stored procedure development, desirable.

• Technical Specialists: strong systems professionals who understand Unix, Linux, TCP/IP networking, Web technology, Internet security issues, together with basic Unix system administration, shellscripting, etc. Work experience preferred but not mandatory. Role involves low-level programming, exploration of technologies, network protocols and software systems, and also software development. Positions open in our Product Division.

• System Administrators: non-programming professionals who execute server and WAN setup projects, and provide first and second-level technical support and assistance to end-users and clients in the areas of networking, Internet connectivity, email, etc. Work experience of at least one year mandatory. Positions open in the Merce PSG and Support Group of our Product Division.

In the month of May 2006 alone, we have administered written tests to 529 applicants aggregated across all positions. We have called a few of them for interviews, but not found anyone suitable.
